Eastern Iowa Arts Academy provides students with excellent leadership and instruction in all areas of the arts. Currently, EIAA has over 45 staff members who specialize in art, dance, drama, creative writing, cultural arts and music instruction.

Native American String ArtInspired by Huichol Nierikas -- beautiful paintings made from yarn pressed onto beeswax-- this is a simple way for students to experience the color, geometric linework and symbolism of this Native American art form. Using colorful string applied to an adhesive-backed piece of felt, students create their designs without messy glue or sharp cutting tools. art0.00Grant

Venetian Masks of ItalyStudents will see a real Carnival mask made and created in Venice! Then they will create full-face masks to represent the masks the people of Venice wore during Carnival of Venice. Brazilian Carnival Costume and PropsStudents will learn about the art and culture of Brazil and Brazilian carnival. Cardboard Tube ArtIn this class students will use cardboard tubes from paper towels, gift wrap and toilet paper, that would otherwise end up in the recycle bin, and turn them into an art project! Students will cut up cardboard tubes, paint them, and decoupage them together to make beautiful art. Voila!
