Eastern Iowa Arts Academy provides students with excellent leadership and instruction in all areas of the arts. Currently, EIAA has over 45 staff members who specialize in art, dance, drama, creative writing, cultural arts and music instruction.

Mr. Busta has taught at Harding Middle School since 2002 after graduating from the University of Iowa with a degree in Art and Art Education. Soon after joining the Harding staff, the art department underwent change and the addition of a graphics lab added to the diversity of art being taught at the school. Harding acquired another exploratory program, Engineering Technology, a couple years later. Currently, Mr. Busta teaches both Graphic Art and Engineering Technology at Harding Middle School. He has a Masters degree in Technology Integration from Graceland University and utilizes technology in his classrooms on a daily basis. Mr. Busta began teaching in the Eastern Iowa Arts Academy in 2009 with his graphic arts class.

|Groovy Graphics||Groovy Graphics teaches students the fundamentals of Photoshop while using it as a creative tool in a variety of ways. This class is open to students of all abilities and no previous experience is required. Lessons are tailored to accommodate all skill levels and offer students the ability to choose their content. Projects begin simple, but evolve into more challeng-ing ones later in the term as skill increases. Students are shown the versatility of Photoshop and discover different ways it can be used as a tool for graphic designing. |Animation Creation||This class will introduce students to the exciting world of animation! Animation has a long and rich history as being a dynamic and compelling art form. Students will learn about the many ways animations can be created. We will investigate how artists were able to animate without technology as well as how technology has revolutionized today’s work.
