Eastern Iowa Arts Academy provides students with excellent leadership and instruction in all areas of the arts. Currently, EIAA has over 45 staff members who specialize in art, dance, drama, creative writing, cultural arts and music instruction.

Figure DrawingFIGURE DRAWING This class will cover all aspects of figure drawing realistically and expressively in vine charcoal. Working from a live model using short gesture poses, students will portray the beauty of human form on paper. Different techniques, including composition, value, line, shape and massing will be introduced and practiced in class. Students will be encouraged to find their own way of seeking beauty from each pose, and interpret what they find using a personal artistic approach. Cost 18 dollars. Materials Provided. The Local Artist Workshop Series will happen every 3rd Wednesday of the month from 6:30pm-8:30pm All levels welcome and encouraged to come. This class is for adults.
